Raising the steaksWith its classic, unpretentious, relaxed charm The Butcher Shop & Grill is where good steak & food really come from, right from South Africa. Now those guys do serve top-notch steaks I just wish they were located out of malls too, I usually hate to dine in malls but I do anyway since lots of restaurants are only in malls.

A Butter Start

3 kinds of butter, served as complementary to munch on while waiting for the food

Complementary Sausage

Delicious sauce, not fancy but delicious, this sauce reminds me of my mom’s spaghetti with red sauce

Broccoli Soup

Rich broccoli soup, I loved it but it did have a strong flavor of Maggi, made me wonder where it is really fresh or not.

Goat Cheese Salad

Goat cheese, my best cheese ever, simple salad, the addition of strawberry gives it a distinguished flavor that is if you plan eating a strawberry along with a cheese bite, you will enjoy, otherwise it is ordinary

Sauces for the sea food

You will see later what was those for (tartar – spicy tomato & butter)

Sirloin Steak

Sirloin steak grilled with black-pepper, mushroom sauce & mashed potato on the side, soft, juicy & delicious

Oysters

This is just a small part of the platter, every bit of that platter was delicious

Shrimp & Salmon

Another part of the platter, shrimp & salmon, here comes the whole platter.

Sea Food Platter

King Prawns, Salmon, Oysters, Calamari & some other type of fish with the 3 sauces I shared before, this is enough for two or 2 & a half! :P, nicely done, fresh, hot & delicious, I am really wanting to have it again as I am typing now

Baked Pumpkin

I ordered this on the side, I thought they will serve it as purée but it was a good bite, oily though :(

Fries

Classic fries, a must have with any steak, or any meal on a table I guess! :P

All in all?

Ambiance: average (food courts are not my preferred choice)

Food: very good

Service: a bit slow

Value for money: Mid to High
